Week by Week Plan

WEEK 1


- Start researching into different Journalists and what sort of Journalism they specialize in and if they use their own material for their articles, for example their own photo's, graphics work etc.


WEEK 2


- Start to design a few rough drafts of logo idea's, Roughly 5, I will start this by sketching them out, then trying to design them on Adobe Illustrator, then narrow down my choice to one final logo design for my magazine/newspaper and edit it further till it's finished.


WEEK 3 


- During this week I will start to roughly get an idea of some articles I can include in my project and then go on to take pictures which I can use in my articles, for example if it was on Sport, go to a local football game such as a Tamworth game and get some photo's of gameplay.


WEEK 4


- I shall start to write my first article, and if finished early enough move on to writing a second, I hope to have at least one finished article with picture's included.


WEEK 5 


- Start producing a third and fourth article, and start finding a format in which I can put my magazine/newspaper together and which order I should put the articles in, I hope to have the third and fourth article fully finished with photography included


WEEK 6 


- I hope to finish my fifth and final article, have all photo's taken and then included into my articles, once I have done this I will put my newspaper/magazine together and have a finished product


WEEK 7 (Deadline Week)


- I will check over my finished project to see if there is any more work/editing which need's to be done, such as spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, etc, then have a final product ready to hand in/

Final Major Product Idea

For my Final Major Project I am going to do fill a sketch book up of research and my final piece, I am basing my Final Project on Journalism as I wish to go into Journalism level 3, but I'm going to use the Graphics and Photography skills I have learned throughout the course of Level 2 Media in my project. I am going to make my own magazine/newspaper and include my own colums in which on topics which I choose, for example local sports, and local things happening in the community. I plan to make a few graphic logo's for idea's then I plan on choosing a final one for my logo for the magazine, then I am going to book a Cannon camera out and take photo's which I can base an article around.

Following this Im going to find a story which I could write about to do with the photo's I have taken. I am planning on making my magazine roughly between 5 - 10 pages long, and try to get at least 5 - 7 stories involved in the magazine.

In my Sketchbook I am going to fill it up with secondary and primary research, mind maps for article ideas, different writing techniques I will use and logo designs and photo's I have taken.

I hope to have my research, designs and photo's all taken with in the time space of 3 weeks to a month, then use the last 3/4 weeks to work on the magazine I am aiming to produce. Throughout the magazine I am going to include a variation of subjects, the main one's I am going to focus on being sports and then a main article to do with something happening in Tamworth or something in Tamworth or West Midlands.
